Safety and Compliance
Your health and safety is our absolute number one priority. We are registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS) and are also a recognised provider Devon County Council and many other local authorities.
We have a comprehensive safety inspection system in place and we work with external bodies to support and enhance our processes.
Our risk assessments are reviewed annually by our team and available on request. We firmly believe in challenge by choice and educating people in how to manage risk and take responsibility for themselves. Our standard operating procedures have been developed through years of experience and evaluation to ensure that our activities operate in a progressive way, introducing controlled risk and developing skill and confidence.
All instructing staff also hold valid First Aid qualifications.
We are fully insured for £10m public liability, copies of our certificate are available to schools/institutions upon request.
Our Centre Manager is the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and we also have other deputy safeguarding leads trained to Level 3 standards. We follow a strict safer recruitment policy. All our instructing staff are enhanced DBS checked and all staff on site are DBS checked. This extends to the third party provides we work closely with. To add to this, all our staff are trained in house by our DSL on safeguarding covering signs of abuse, online safety, disclosures and our in house systems.
