How do we find you?
Travelling by road:
From the North via M5 – Leave the M5 at Junction 27. Follow the A361 signposted Barnstaple. Take the A39 signposted Bideford. Look out for the Brown Tourist Sign to The Ultimate Adventure Centre on the A39 just outside Bideford.
From Cornwall – Take the A39 past Bude signposted to Bideford. You will drive past Hartland and Clovelly. Look out for the Brown Tourist Sign to The Ultimate Adventure Centre on the A39 just outside Bideford.
Travelling by Train:
The nearest train station is Barnstaple which is approximately 20 minutes’ drive from the centre.
Travelling by Bus:
The only bus which drives past The Ultimate Adventure Centre is the 319 stagecoach bus from Barnstaple town centre to Hartland and vice versa. The nearest bus stop is outside the church in Abbotsham, the small village where we are based. From the bus stop The Ultimate Adventure Centre is a 2-3 minute walk away. However, ask the driver nicely and they will usually stop outside the car park and drop you off. This isn’t a bus stop, but the drivers are usually very good if you ask nicely.
What about bedding?
You will need to supply your own bedding, we recommend a pillow and sleeping bag, but you are welcome to bring a duvet/quilt if you prefer.
Do we need to bring any special kit/equipment?
Apart from bedding the only other thing you will require is swimwear, a towel and an old pair of trainers/shoes you don’t mind getting wet for use on the assault course. All safety equipment and wetsuits will be provided.
Please note that we aim to ensure that we have equipment for all sizes of customers participating in our activities. However, in exceptional cases a person’s body shape and size may not match that of the equipment we hold. Equipment is provided on a first come first served basis.
Are there any restrictions on the activities?
The minimum age for the activities that we provide as part of the Family Residential package are suitable for those aged 5+ on the basis that Parents/Guardians assist the children around the activities.
Weight restrictions apply on the Climbing section of the activity and we are unfortunately to offer this activity to those over 20 stone. Please feel free to discuss this with a member of the booking team, if necessary.

What are the rooms like?
Please head to our accommodation page here to view the rooms, the Adventure Barn rooms and Lakeside Cabins are all en-suite. There is a shower/toilet block for all other room types or for those camping.
Can we bring our pets?
Yes, we do allow well behaved dogs on-site, but they will always need to be on a lead when in public areas. You will also need to ensure that you clean up any mess made and dispose of this in the site bins.
How safe is your site?
